Women's SuffrageAs most of the men went off to war, the women were left to work their old jobs and perform the men's former duties. The women did much for America in wartime, yet still could not vote. As a result, they made great efforts for women's suffrage and eventually passed the Nineteenth Amendment.

EnlistmentAmerica was in desperate need of a great quantity of soldiers, so they advertised to receive as many soldiers as they could. This poster uses the famous quote "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country," along with America's icon, Uncle Sam, to evoke a sense of patriotic duty in American citizens.
